Tacos & Prayer

04 Nov 2019

Happy Monday Everyone,

I wanted to remind everyone of 3 things on the school calendar this week.

  1.  The 3rd Annual Taco Dinner to support Praise Crowd is this Saturday, November 9 between 4:15-7:15.  You can come at anytime during those hours. We will be serving beef and Chicken tacos with all the fixings along with chips and guacamole.  For desert we will have our famous brownies and ice cream. There will be a donation box there for Praise Crowd. Come and see the play ‘Clue’ and either stay for Tacos or you can come for tacos and go to the play.  All the money goes to help support the Praise Crowd ministry which is such an important part of the culture of the school. The money helps fund the breakfasts, the food for evening praise crowd, the Bibles for seniors, and various other needs like equipment and video production.  Last year we raised about $13,000 and would love to come close to this number again.
  2. Speaking of the play “Clue”, we would love for you do come out and watch one of the 4 productions.  The play starts Thursday, November 7 and runs through Saturday, November 9. The drama team always does a fantastic job and it is one of the best things we do here at Illiana and it gets so many of our students involved and is a place where their talents shine for the glory of God.  We are excited for this weekend.
  3. Finally we are going to have our first prayer through the school meetings.  Originally I said 10:00. However, due to a conflict, we are going to move that till 11:30.  If you are interested in being part of a group that prays for the student and staff of the school, we would love to see you in the commons this Saturday @ 11:30.  IF you want to know more, here is the link to my previous blog which outlines what we are doing.

Thanks again for all your support of Illiana Christian High School
