If your student is wondering what going to Illiana looks like, is unsure about entering this new space, or wants to meet some friendly faces before attending Illiana, we recommend signing them up for a shadow visit!
What is a Shadow Visit? Your child is paired up with an Illiana student-host. This student will greet you and be your “buddy” throughout the day. The visiting student will attend classes, meet teachers and students, have lunch (on us!) and go to a Chapel or a club meeting.
A Shadow Visit is a great way to see what our school is all about. Your visit will include a full school day at Illiana from 7:40 am to 2:50 pm. You will get to see up close what the daily life of an Illiana student looks like.
Illiana’s Shadow Visit season for the 2020-21 school year is temporarily on hold due to limitations on having visitors in the building amid COVID concerns. Keep an eye on this page or contact the Admissions Office to find out when Shadow Visits will be taking registrations again. We can hardly wait to be up and running again!
Preview Illiana is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to experience Illiana. Meet with faculty and administration, tour our new campus, and have your questions answered. No pre-registration is necessary.
You’ll be able to hear from our Principal and our Director of Spiritual Development, meet teachers and students, attend informative sessions about Illiana’s curriculum and learning opportunities in music, art, STEM, and core subjects, watch our drama rehearsal, and learn about how Illiana builds college- and career-readiness. All middle school students will receive a free Illiana t-shirt!
During the 2020 – 2021 school year, Preview Illiana is scheduled to be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 and Tuesday, March 2, 2021.
Questions can be directed to our Director of Admissions, Marie Limback, at 219.558.7066 x49 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
