CALENDAR NOTES:

JUNE 8 – AUGUST 7  SUMMER OFFICE HOURS:

The office will be open from 8:00 a.m.  – 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and closed on Friday.  Please call before you come as there may be other days the office will be closed.

Computer Skills Test:  June 8 and August 14.

Viking Academy:  July 13 – 31

Freshmen Orientation:  August 18

School Begins:  August 19

WHAT’S HAPPENING?

GRADUATION:  Due to the current Covid-19 crisis, and the associated restrictions, plans for Graduation are still being discussed.  When definite plans are in place we will be sharing them with you.

2020-2021 CLASS SCHEDULES:  We plan to have next year’s class schedules ready by the beginning of June. Copies of schedules will be available to view via the Family Portal of RenWeb. If there is a problem with a schedule, students may contact their counselor.

COMPUTER SKILLS TEST:  Illiana offers an optional Computer Skills Test for incoming freshmen.  Detailed information was shared through a communication from the feeder schools.  If you have an incoming freshman, and would like to sign up for the test, you may sign up on the online form.

VIKING ACADEMY: Illiana is once again offering Viking Academy, a summer camp program for elementary and middle school kids. We will offer various academic and athletic camps for three weeks in July. Camps include but are not limited to the following, Drama, Space Science & Engineering, Self Defense, Dancing, Cooking/Baking, various sports camps and more! REPORT CARDS AND DIPLOMAS:  We hope to have Report Cards for all students available on RenWeb on or around June 5 (unless there is still a balance on your tuition account).

SENIOR PICTURES:  At this time HR Imaging is unable to schedule next year’s senior portraits.  We are waiting to hear from them and will be in contact with all juniors when a time has been scheduled.

FROM THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE

CURRENT ILLIANA FAMILIES! Do you have an incoming freshman? If the answer is yes, and you haven’t done so already, NOW is time to fill out Illiana’s admission application. All incoming freshmen are required to fill out the online application and enrollment packet. Class schedules will be created soon so please complete the admissions process and select courses as soon as possible.

–Application Instructions: Current Illiana families can access the application in their ParentsWeb/Family Portal under Apply/Enroll and start a new application. (Remember, current Illiana students do not need to fill out an application.) New families should visit the Admissions page on the Illiana website.

–After you have submitted your student’s application, you will need to enroll them by completing the online enrollment packet. Instructions for completing this packet will be emailed to you once the application for admission is submitted.

–When the enrollment packet and fee are submitted, you’ll receive instructions about choosing your freshman student’s classes. Contact Director of Admissions Marie Limback, at 219-558-7066 Ext. 49 or mlimback@illianaweb.org with any questions or concerns.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:  P.I.E. (Parents Involved in Education) Board has an opening for Vice-Treasurer. Knowledge of Quick Books is required. Anyone interested please contact Wendy Vroom @ wendyvroom@comcast.net or call 219-374-9395.

SCRIP: Your SCRIP tuition credit is on your May statement.  The last monthly SCRIP order will be submitted on May 5 at 9:00 a.m.  Online orders must be placed online by 9:00 a.m. on May 5.    They will be available for pick up the next Tuesday.  SCRIP paid out over $3440 to families using the program this quarter.  You may still order from the SCRIP store orders by emailing your order to scrip@illianaweb.org.  Include your name, scrip account, and the cards you would like.  Orders will be filled as soon as possible and can be picked up in the office.  Checks are preferred for payment.

TRANSPORTATION

BUS SIGN UPS: The wheels on the bus go round and round……….   2020 – 2021 bus registration link is open http://bit.ly/IllianaBus2020-2021  if your student will need bus transportation next school year, please take a moment to register them.  There is transportation from South Holland, Lansing, and Highland.  The bus registration fee for next year is $215 and will be billed on your August tuition statement.
