JUNE 2020



PROM:  The PROM is scheduled for July 31.  You will receive more information as plans are made.  Prom will take place here at Illiana’s campus.  These plans will depend on the Indiana State government recommendations for large gatherings at that time.

GRADUATION:  We plan to hold the graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 here at the school on August 1.  These plans will depend on the Indiana State government recommendations for large gatherings at that time.

2020-2021 SCHEDULES:  Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors schedules have been delayed due to some pandemic uncertainty.  They are being developed now.  We are also developing plans for various contingencies for the fall (August).  More details will be forthcoming.

REPORT CARDS AND DIPLOMAS:  Diplomas will be given to seniors at graduation.  Final transcripts and report cards will be released to families, who have paid their balance through May, leaving only the June payment.    Final transcripts will be sent to the colleges indicated on Senior Survey Forms.

VIKING ACADEMY: Illiana is once again offering Viking Academy, a summer camp program for elementary and middle school kids. We will offer various academic and athletic camps for three weeks in July. Camps include but are not limited to the following, Drama, Space Science & Engineering, Self Defense, Dancing, Cooking/Baking, various sports camps and more! To register go to the form on our website.    Some camps may be in jeopardy due to pandemic regulations.  An announcement will be made soon.

SENIOR PICTURES:  Mr. Kamphuis is working with HR Imaging to set up appointment dates for our current juniors.    You will receive a communication once these dates are certain.



On May 12 a tentative itinerary was emailed to the Class of 2021.  The fee of $650 is due by September 10.  Students will receive more information the second week of the fall semester.  Please do not pay early, and do not combine payment with a tuition payment.  Payment should be given to homeroom teachers for accurate records.





August 14:  Incoming Freshmen Computer Test (optional)

August 18:  Freshmen first day

August 19:  First Day of school for all students

September 3:  Back to School Night


NOTES FOR 2020-2021

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS:  The school office will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.

COMPUTER SKILLS TEST:  Freshmen who would like to test out of Digital Applications I, may sign up on this Google Form  for the August 14 test date.  You may email Ms. Deb Top if you have questions regarding the test,

FRESHMEN VACCINATION FORMS & BIRTH CERTIFICATES are due by the beginning of school.

PARKING FOR 2020-2021:  All student drivers must have a parking tag displayed in their car.   Please complete the Parking Contract form



ILLIANA PARENTS, DO YOU HAVE AN INCOMING FRESHMAN? If so, then it is time to fill out Illiana’s application! All incoming freshmen are required to fill out the online application and enrollment packet.   Class schedules will be created soon so please complete the admissions process right away. Contact Director of Admissions Marie Limback, 219-558-7066 Ext. 49, with any questions or concerns.

·         Application Instructions: Current Illiana families can access the application in their ParentsWeb/Family Portal under Apply/Enroll and start a new application. (Remember, current Illiana students do not need to fill out an application.)

TUITION, GRANTS & EFT:  The tuition rate for 2020-2021 is $10,525.  A $100 credit (for the enrollment fee paid earlier) brings the tuition to $10,425.  The first payment for each student is due by August 15.  Payments for August-May will be $948/month.  The payment for June will be $945.

▪    The supporting church gratitude grant, of $650, will be applied in June.

▪    The Foundation Fund makes an optional discount available to all students, details will be sent in July.

▪    Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) information will also be provided in July. EFT payments will begin in September.   If you select this method of payment, you should return the completed form with your first payment in August.

BUS NEWS:      2020 – 2021 bus registration link is open.  If your student will need bus transportation next school year, please take a moment to register them.  There is transportation from South Holland, Lansing, and Highland.  The bus registration fee for next year is $215 and will be billed on your August tuition statement.



SCRIP:  The SCRIP store will remain open during the summer.  Please email all orders to   Orders will be filled as soon as possible and can be picked up in the office.  Please pay with check preferably when you pick up your order.   You can still use your online accounts to purchase Egiftcards and Reload/ReloadNow cards.

THE P.I.E. BOARD would like to thank all of our volunteers for their work this past year.  We are always looking for new fundraising ideas to increase our volunteer opportunities.  Contact any P.I.E. Board member with your ideas.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: The P.I.E. (Parents Involved in Education) Board has an opening for Vice-Treasurer. Knowledge of Quick Books is required. If you are interested, please contact Latina Robinson at  This is a great way to earn a $300. PIE credit for the year.



PHYSICALS:  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic during the 2019-20 school year, the IHSAA will waive the need for students to get another sports physical for the upcoming 2020-21 school year.   Valid physical and consent forms turned in this past year after April 1, 2019 will be valid for the 2020-2021 school year.   Transfer students moving from one member school to another member school must provide a copy of their 2019-20 physical in order to be eligible.  Incoming freshmen with a valid IHSAA Pre-Participation Physical and Consent Form completed and signed after April 1, 2019 will also be eligible to compete during the 2020-21 athletic season.   This form is available on the school’s website at  Please contact Bonnie Trepton at  if you have any questions.


  • Both boys and girls Soccer tryouts  will be on August 3, 4, and 5.
  • Girls Volleyball tryouts will be August 3, 4, and 5.
