ADVANCED PLACEMENT FORMS:  Students who plan to enroll in Advanced Placement classes should turn in the forms as soon as possible, they were due March 26.

 PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES:  Conferences will be held on Thursday, April 8, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Teachers will be available in their classrooms for five-minute conferences.  Parents are encouraged to come and take advantage of this opportunity to speak with all of their child’s teachers. Students are not invited.

GIVING DAY – APRIL 13:    Our vision for Illiana Christian High School starts with developing a passion for God, others and the world, within our students.  Join us April 13 as we raise money to impact how our students get a Christian education preparing them to be the generation of tomorrow. We’re challenging our community to “Join in the fun and donate in 2021” to support Illiana students and our educational programs.  If you wish to participate in this challenge, you may give online through Illiana’s website, or mail a check to Illiana Christian High School.

ASSOCIATION MEETING:  The annual meeting of the Illiana Christian High School Association will be Monday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m.   A newsletter including the proposed budget and board candidates will be mailed at the beginning of April.   You may also download an absentee ballot from our website.

FINE ARTS FESTIVAL AND RECITAL:  Illiana Christian High School will host a Fine Arts Exhibit and Recital on April 20 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The night will feature musical and dramatic performances by various students, and visual artwork will be on display. Coffee and dessert will be served.

PANCAKE PACER 5K RUN & WALK:    Join us on this great run benefiting the Illiana Christian Athletic Department. It will be held on April 24 and begins at 7:30 a.m.  All proceeds will go toward new uniforms and equipment for our athletic programs.   To sign up follow the link on our website.

  • The race will begin and end at Midwest Ice Arena, 10600 White Oak Ave, Dyer, IN. Following the race, each runner is invited to Illiana Christian High School for a free pancake breakfast.
  • Winners will be announced and given medals for the following age groups: 19U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up. Every runner registered will receive a Nike Legend long-sleeved running shirt.

GO DAY:  On Wednesday, April 28, all students will be leaving school for various service projects in the morning.  A cookout will follow, back at school, in the afternoon. GRANDPARENTS DAY:   Illiana is hosting a safe and socially distanced Grandparents Day outside on May 13! We are excited to see all our Grandparents back on campus!   Space is limited and RSVPs are required!   RSVP here: https://forms.gle/DkRdiDthvJb6mxuL6

CONCERT DATE CHANGE:  The spring Band Pops Concert has been moved from May 20 to May 17.   Please note this change on your calendars.

SENIOR CLASS TRIP:  As the country continues to open up and there are lighter COVID restrictions the possibility of a senior class trip is being explored.    Mr. White  and the senior class sponsors  are hopeful that a three day trip to St. Louis will be offered for  May 20 -22.  An email was sent to parents on March 17.  More details will be shared with the seniors as plans are made.  If you have questions please email the tour director, Mr. Jeff White, at jwhite@illianaweb.org.

VIKING ACADEMY:  Don’t miss out on an opportunity to send your kids to one of the best day camps in Northwest Indiana! Viking Academy is offered through Illiana Christian High School and has over twenty five options of different day-camps for elementary and middle-school aged students. Join us from July 12 – 30 for high quality classes and camps. We are excited to bring a long list of integrative and enjoyable classes to the local community including STEM, band, fishing, art, space & science, basketball, golf, cheerleading, and so much more!  ADMISSIONS:

 RE-ENROLLMENT for the 2021 – 2022 school year will be automatic. The re-enrollment fee of $125 was applied to your tuition account in March. You will not need to fill out a separate re-enrollment form. If your student will not be returning next year, please notify Marie Limback. Also, since we do not get “fresh” information from re-enrollment, please make any updates in address, phone number, etc., through your Family Portal. To make updates, log in to your School > Web Forms > Family Demographic Form.

  • HOST FAMILIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: At this time we are seeking families interested in hosting an international student for the 2021-2022 academic year. We are thankful for the opportunity to welcome students into our community for an academic year and in some cases, an entire high school career. Please prayerfully consider being a host family for the upcoming academic year. Contact Marie Limback for more information.
  • ATTENTION PARENTS OF EIGHTH GRADERS:  High School is just around the corner for many of you! We are now accepting online applications for the 2021 – 2022 academic year. Current Illiana families can access the application in their Family Portal under Apply/Enroll. New families should visit the Admissions page on the Illiana website.  Please pass this information on to friends and family.
  • PREVIEW ILLIANA:  Preview Illiana is back! This is a great opportunity for parents and students who are considering Illiana Christian High School to get an up close view of the school, and have all their questions answered. And, we think it’s just a lot of fun too! Plan to join us on Saturday, April 10 at 10:00 a.m. or Tuesday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. Middle school students will receive a free Illiana T-shirt.  Please invite neighbors, friends, family, and anyone else to this event!  Due to ongoing Covid restrictions, seats are limited and preregistration IS necessary at this link: http://bit.ly/previewillianaspring2021.

P.I.E. NEWS:

SCRIP: All SCRIP ONLINE orders are due online by 8:00 am on the Tuesday turn-in date.  The orders will be ready the following Tuesday for pickup.  If you have questions about SCRIP, please contact Jill Rozendal at scrip@illianaweb.org.

SPRING SUPPER: A big thank you to everyone who ordered, students and teachers that participated, and companies that donated for the SPRING SUPPER fundraiser. With your help we were able raise $ 11,225!! These funds will go towards so many items not covered by tuition!

VOLUNTEERS: Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer.  There are still open volunteer spots for lunch.  We are looking for a taco cook for next year.  The hours will be 7:00 – 8:30 a.m., about six times a year. You may sign up at signup.com/go/CLJRmEw. If you want to earn P.I.E. credits, now is the time!

P.I.E. CREDITS:  P.I.E. credits will be applied on May 1 if you have completed your volunteering as of April 30. Any credits earned in May will be applied on June 1. If you have any questions, please contact Kathy Neumeyer at kthln275@yahoo.com
