The Vikings baseball team won the Indiana 2A state championship defeating Covenant Christian by a score of 3-0. The game was played at Victory Field in Indianapolis on Friday, June 16. This was the second consecutive year that Illiana won the state title. And, for the second straight year, Kevin Corcoran was the winning pitcher. The team’s overall record for the year ended up being 25-9. The Vikings are coached by Jeff VanderWoude. His four-year record coaching the Vikings is 65-22.
