At Illiana Christian High School, we accomplish all of this, but with the seeds of Christianity planted throughout their high school lives. At Illiana, students are exposed to the ways of the Gospel and discover their potential as faithful individuals who can positively impact our communities now and in the future. Christianity is taught in our classrooms, on our sports fields and incorporated into all of our activities here on campus. It is our belief that education should not be separated from how to live our best lives as Christians. This is how we started back in 1945 and we continue to uphold these values today.

Crete Private Schools Feature Excellent Academic Setting

Our average class size is around 20 while some of our Advanced Placement Classes have as few as 10 students. We have a ratio of 14 to 1 and our talented teachers have extensive experience in the teaching field. Our teachers do not follow any particular published curriculum and select books and digital curriculum that best suits their classes while incorporating a Christian perspective. Our 500 students can select from a range of courses in subjects such as engineering, applied arts – technology, business, science and history. 

Our Student Services department seeks to support our young adults on their educational journeys. There is Homework Hall as well as Study Hall Tutoring for those who may need additional assistance outside of the classroom. The challenges of growing up in today’s world can also be tackled by our IMPACT group, which is a source of social-emotional support that is led by a teacher as well as students.

Our sports teams do not stand alone outside the Christian lifestyle. We bring all of our athletes into the fold of how to be role models and take on life’s daily challenges as spiritual leaders. Our coaches help us extend our lessons onto the field and showcase what it looks like to be compassionate, empathetic and respectful to others. 

Sports can truly drive home to our young adults the lessons on how to live every day through the eyes of the Lord while working toward personal goals and fulfillment. The sports field and courts highlight what this looks like today.
