Cultivating Christian leaders for the future is the core of Illiana Christian High School since it first opened its doors in 1945. Our team brings together all of the vital educational elements that ensure your children are leaving us equipped with only the best tools for their futures. We focus on top-notch academic offerings alongside art and athletic programs that will help your children find their creative and active outlets. We go beyond traditional schools by maintaining our Christian mindset throughout all aspects of our school community. We encourage parents to be a main part of their children’s education and extracurricular activities every day.
The Illiana Christian High School teaching staff is highly qualified to develop the curriculum that you are seeking to challenge your children in the school environment. We are proud of our staff’s background, which averages 17 years of teaching experience. You will find that we have a broad range of courses that number 110 to make sure that your students are receiving a superior education. Some of our Advanced Placement classes include Calculus, Government and Spanish, as well as dual-credit classes that will give your students an early start on their future education by providing college credit.
A Christian education is valuable beyond measure as it incorporates the values that are essential to foster community leaders. We bring the Bible into all of our classrooms by instilling virtues such as love, respect, sincerity and compassion into our lessons and daily activities. Christian education is not only an alternative option for parents but also an exemplary avenue to guide their children in the ways of the Lord.
Our 500 students are able to enjoy their high school experience due to our extensive extracurricular and art programs. For those who are musically inclined, we have jazz band, pep band, wind ensemble and concert choir to just name a few. Sports opportunities are readily available for all students to hone their athletic skills. Your children can participate in volleyball, track, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer or basketball.
We offer drama, singing, musical and art programs so your child will be a creative, well-rounded individual. For example, the Flag Corps works on routines with the Marching Band in a drill squad fashion, while drama lets students take center stage in acting, design and behind-the-scenes roles. Singing students will surely find a home in at least one of our four choirs.
