We are honored to have touched the lives of 9,000 students, instilling within them a strong sense of Christian leadership. Since 1945, Illiana Christian High School has been providing the curriculum, extracurricular activities and commitment to Christ that has allowed our graduates to go on to be servant leaders in their communities. Our original mission of delivering a Christian education carries on today, but in an updated environment that allows our students to enjoy their high school experience.
Our knowledgeable staff members challenge your students by incorporating faith into academics, encouraging them to live in the light of Christ. Most of our teachers have Master’s degrees and have over 10 years of invaluable classroom experience. This is coupled with the drive to teach students how to live according to Christian values as humility, empathy and respect.
While most of our students go on to college, we understand that this is not an option for everyone. We make sure our academics work for all of our Christian families by offering everything from Advanced Placement classes to vocational and domestic skills courses. Your children can earn college credit while in high school through our dual-credit courses.
At Illiana, we encourage students to embrace personal expression through creative outlets. Students can sing, play an instrument, act or design a set for a show. We are always excited when our annual Fine Arts competition rolls around, when students showcase their talents in dancing, playing the piano, painting and more. The visual entries are then on display for weeks for everyone to enjoy. Drama participation includes being a cast member or putting together a set for a play.
Children who enjoy singing can develop their choral skills by joining one of our four choirs. Our Women’s Chorale emphasizes tone production and promotes music appreciation. Our Chamber Singers team is filled with juniors, seniors and more experienced singers who can engage with the community by being featured at community events. Life at Illiana also includes the opportunity to join one of our many clubs. The eighth hour of our school day allows for in-school participation of our club offerings. We have Student Council, GO Club, Loud Crowd, Praise Club and our yearbook team. Student activities encourage school spirit, personal development and social connections.
