Illiana is seeking a full-time custodian beginning August 2024.   Applicants will be working with our evening custodial crew from 2:00p – 10:00p Monday through Friday.  Some overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Position Description:

The evening custodial team is responsible for cleaning all classrooms, administrative offices, washrooms, locker rooms, gym, common areas, and kitchen/ server to ensure that all areas are prepared for the next day of school.  Daily hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00p – 10:00p.  Some overtime and Saturdays may be required for special events.

Must be able to perform minor repairs.  Applicants must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver’s license.  Applicants must also be able to pass a physical examination and drug and alcohol test.   Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be on their feet for up to eight hours.  The candidate must be a member in good standing of a Reformed or Evangelical Christian Church.  The candidate must also agree to the Faith Statement of Illiana Christian School.   Successful applicants must be patient with students and be able to also work alongside student helpers.  Applicants must be able to communicate well with others they work with.

A successful applicant will work as part of a great evening team of three full-time custodians and one part-time custodian.  During Summer Break, Christmas, and Spring Break evening custodians will work the day shift.
