The Christian Service Club encourages students to explore ways of putting their faith into action. CSC members do this is by helping others through deeds of love and mercy and sharing the good news of the gospel. Examples of this are personal contacts such as visiting the sick or elderly, tutoring children, or writing notes of encouragement.
On a larger scale, the CSC also organizes the annual Christian Service Day. On that day the entire student body, arranged by homerooms, takes the day off from their usual classes and does various Christian service projects around the Illiana community. The purpose of this day is to provide students with real experiences on how to become better caretakers in God’s creation. Examples of these activities include the cleanup and improvement of parks, repair and maintenance of various buildings, or working with children at schools or hospitals in the Chicago area.
